Our story
From a small focused team to a global consultancy. This is how we got here.
Beginnings
BCS was founded by James Hart and Scott Shearer with a simple idea: put people first, cut out the hierarchy, and deliver real value. We landed our first project, then three more in quick succession.
Momentum
New clients found us. Our first employee joined and we kicked off our youth training scheme.Momentum was building.
Breakthrough
London became home with our first office at Devonshire Square. Larger clients came on board and we grew 65% in a single year.
Growth
The team passed 20 people and our apprenticeship programme launched. With 40% of revenue now from outside the UK, we grew another 49%.
Resilience
Covid changed everything, but we adapted. We opened new offices in Frankfurt and Milan. It marked our first European expansion.
Step up
We moved into a bigger London base at Eastcheap, passed 50 people, and joined RSBG UK, aligning with their commitment to reinvest in long-term sustainability while scaling our own impact.
Expansion
Our headcount jumped 140% to 120+. We opened in Vienna and Berlin, launched Land Intelligence service to help clients expand into new markets, and rolled out Delivery Intelligence to sharpen how we work.
Scale
Now 150+ strong, working in 20+ countries across four continents. We have delivered over 5GW of IT load, partnered with 40+ clients, passed €20m revenue, and are opening new offices in Warsaw and the Nordics.
Look up
We’re looking ahead: expanding into the Middle East, Africa and Asia, growing our apprentice and graduate programmes, exploring new service lines, and bringing our expertise to other power-intensive industries.
