Due Diligence for Multi-Site European Acquisitions
Helping a developer cut through conflicting data and gain confidence in a competitive acquisition process

Clarity, confidence and speed
The challenge
Our client, a European developer and investor in legacy data centres, was acquiring multiple sites across Europe, the UK and Nordics. Each owner had their own estimates of build budgets and lifecycle costs, often inconsistent, incomplete, or conflicting with engineering surveys. Time was tight, competition was high, and detailed site surveys weren’t possible. They needed fast, reliable clarity.
What We Did
We carried out a site-by-site review, scoping the stabilisation and expansion works required. Using our benchmark data sets, we built cost models to validate or challenge the owners’ estimates. Alongside this, we held workshops with consultants and stakeholders, working through a wide range of documents and acquisition surveys to distil a realistic view of each facility. This clear picture allowed us to produce structured reports with findings, recommendations, and procurement strategies, enabling swift and confident decision-making.
Key actions:
- Formed a considered view of required works across all sites
- Built independent cost models and compared them against owner assessments
- Delivered structured reports highlighting risks, limitations, and recommendations
- Explored procurement routes to deliver projects across multiple geographies
